Organic Rye

It all began at Square One . . .  

. . . with the purest ingredients we could find.  Very few vodkas are made as meticulously as ours: created in one place, with exacting standards. 

Our distinctive, limited-production single grain vodka is created using certified organic American rye.  Our water, drawn from deep aquifers underneath the distillery, imparts unparalleled smoothness, reflecting its origin in the pristine Teton Range of Wyoming.

Our unique organic fermentation technique combines with a classic four-column distillation and filtration method to create Square One: incredibly silky, ultra-premium vodka with the rich and subtle nutty taste and texture of American rye.

Tasting Notes

Square One Organic Rye Vodka is a premium spirit, with a rich, nutty taste and full silky texture. Slightly oily on the tongue, medium body. Crisp, mild bite to it on the edges of your tongue. Dry, grain-like aftertaste, with an attractively oily body/mouthfeel. Eminently drinkable.

Cucumber

Square One Cucumber is a deliciously aromatic spirit with the delicate and fresh taste of cucumber.  

We crafted Square One Cucumber by combining the essence of organic cucumbers with our original certified organic American rye vodka. To keep cucumber's fresh aroma, we applied the same skills used to capture the aromatics of flowers and plants in natural fragrances. 

This spirit gives a contemporary spin to familiar cocktails like the Tom Collins or Gimlet and is a natural choice for refreshing new cocktails. For a delicious, yet easy to mix cocktail, enjoy Square One Cucumber with tonic and a twist of lime.

Botanical

Eden in a Bottle . . .  

Square One Botanical is a bold (90 proof) organic rye spirit infused with the essence of eight organic botanicals: pear, rose, chamomile, lemon verbena, lavender, rosemary, coriander and citrus peel.  A perfectly balanced harmony of fruit, floral and herb botanicals, this spirit gives added taste complexity to your favorite vodka cocktail.

Square One Botanical balances fruit, floral, herbal botanicals, rendering this spirit perfect for cocktailing.  For those consumers who don’t like gin (but really mean they dislike juniper), and bartenders who don’t like vodka, here is a spirit packed with all of the complex layers of a gin, sans the astringent punch of juniper, that appeals to all!!! 

Basil

Sweet and Savory by Nature . . .  

In the world of cuisine, the sweet and savory quality of fresh basil has a long history. Now, many mixologists are using the flavor range and taste complexity that fresh basil brings to cocktails.

With cocktail creativity in mind, we take the herbal taste experience of fresh basil a step further. Square One Basil is infused with the essences of four basil varieties -- Genovese, Thai, Lemon and Sweet -- plus we add a touch of coriander, honeysuckle and lemongrass to round out the spirit and soften the finish. Try Square One Basil in Mediterranean or Asian cuisine inspired elixirs. And in the classic Bloody Mary, pour Square One Basil in place of straight vodka.

Tasting Notes

On tasting Square One Basil, the garden-fresh basil aroma mirrors the sweet earthiness of basil on the palate. The spirit is clean and bright with a soft hint of light black pepper, anise and citrus.

Bergamot

A Mediterranean Jewel…

Square One Bergamot, takes the vibrant taste of bergamot citrus and layers it with mandarin, tangerine and navel oranges. We then add herbal warmth of ginger, coriander and juniper botanicals to create an orange inspired spirit with greater depth and character than what is typically found among “flavored” vodkas on the market.

Bergamot orange, predominately grown along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, is a hidden gem among citrus fruits. Bergamot gives Earl Grey tea its signature floral notes and chefs use bergamot citrus as an extra layer of flavor in gourmet deserts. In aromatherapy, bergamot elevates the essences in designer fragrances 

We chose bergamot because of the remarkable grassy, floral and tangy qualities of the fruit's peel.  Unfiltered, the delicious citrus oils stay in the bottle and showcase the exceptional fruit, floral and herbal qualities of the other botanicals. Square One Bergamot is a surprisingly complex, yet approachable expression of an orange-based spirit.

Tasting Notes

The aroma is freshly peeled orange varieties with subtle green wild flower. On the palate, floral bergamot is wrapped in juicy tangerine and the pleasant bitterness from mandarin orange. The finish is warm from the spice of ginger and juniper.

The Unfiltered Truth ®

The cloudiness you may see in the Bergamot is a result of consciously not filtering the spirit after infusing in our citrus essences. We found that by not filtering it, all the beautiful citrus flavors remained in the spirit but it would stay cloudy as a result. Our Bergamot vodka will vary somewhat from batch to batch in terms of the cloudiness depending on how oily the peels are that we use, this is perfectly normal! Our bartender friends across the country love that we didn’t filter it and we think you will too!
